DRI for Historically Black Colleges and Universities
Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø invites undergraduate students who are rising juniors or seniors from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) in our region to apply to participate in the Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Research Initiative (DRI).
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Research Initiative is a mentored undergraduate research training program held on the campus of Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø each summer. The program lasts for four to ten weeks (project dependent) from mid-May until early August. Participating students are paired with a Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø faculty member who will collaborate with and mentor them on an independent research project. Participants receive a stipend of $600 per week to support their housing and living expenses, and up to $1,000 for project-related supplies or travel. On campus housing is also available upon request at the same rates charged for Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø students.
Application Deadline: March 16, 2026
