Sunny Skies Sweeten Class of ’27’s Race for Cakes and Pies

�鶹��Ƶ����’s Class of 2027 celebrated another important rite by running in the annual Cake Race on Aug. 31. Tropical Storm Idalia postponed the race for a day—and Thursday’s clear, sunny skies with low humidity offered optimal running weather. The tradition for students to run for cake began in 1930 as a track coach’s recruitment tool.
