Alumni Couple Supports Teaching, Learning & Inspiration in The George Lawrence Abernethy Library
Alums Fritz Porter ’99 and Mary Margaret Cochrane Porter ’98 have generously contributed to the George Lawrence Abernethy Library at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø. Their donation will name the Porter Classroom in the John Crosland Jr. Center for Teaching and Learning, with the goal of inspiring future generations of scholars and educators.

She’s also the first recipient of the McArthur-Fitzpatrick Scholarship for Disability Advocacy. Healing Research, Supportive Allies
When a family member suffered a traumatic brain injury, the Foil family founded a care facility with community-based programs for other TBI survivors. The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø alums fund a college research award to support students studying brain injuries. A separate fund supports health and wellness initiatives for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹Ù꿉۪s LGBTQIA+ students.
