Starting today, high school students applying to Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø can get an estimate of how much they will pay by answering a half-dozen, quick questions on their smartphone.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø has partnered with MyinTuition to create a fast, free, user-friendly app that will help applicants navigate a financial aid process that can be as intimidating as applying to college in the first place.

MyinTuition requires no tax forms and no jargon. Users answer six questions with readily known financial information to receive a cost estimate for attending Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø that includes financial aid.

"This tool provides a clear look at Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø's deep, longstanding commitment to access," said Chris Gruber, vice president and dean of admission and financial aid. "It quickly shows a family what they may likely contribute to their college costs, and allows them to see Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø as an option."

Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø does not package loans in their financial aid awards. The Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Trust enables the college to meet 100 percent of demonstrated need with grants and student employment, putting a Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø education within reach of all qualified (admitted) students.

It takes the average user three minutes to complete the form, and the user remains anonymous. The college does not retain any personally identifying information.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø's MyinTuition highlights the college's long-standing commitment to access to education through The Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Trust and no loan policy. Approximately 51 percent of the class of 2021 received financial assistance from Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø, with an average aid package of $45,000.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø joins approximately 50 other institutions who have used MyinTuition to clarify their costs of attendance. Between April 2017 and January 2018 alone, more than 150,000 people used the tool to generate college estimates.
